A.J. Foyt happy to see Stewart win title in No. 14

Tony Stewart was always a fan of AJ Foyt growing up and today run's AJ's No. 14 in honor of his racing hero.

Following the thrilling race down to the wire between Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship which A.J. Foyt watched from his home in Houston, Foyt had this to say about Stewart winning the race at Homestead Miami Speedway and with it the title – his first as a team owner and third as a driver.

"It was a great race. I was a little worried in the beginning because it seemed like something happened to Tony every time he got to the front. He had to win it to win the championship and I think Tony drove the best race of his life. It was great to see the 14 win again. I am real proud of him!" AJ Foyt Racing
