Former top fuel racer Rice killed in snowmobile accident

Former top fuel racer Bill Rice was killed in a snowmobiling accident in Wyoming Dec. 29.

Rice and his former partner, Mark Williams, had recently repopped their '68 AA/FD and cackled it at the California Hot Rod Reunion in October. Rice, who also partnered with many other High Country racers throughout the years, was recently inducted into the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Rice was also an active competitor in SCORE off-road racing, and his mechanical expertise has helped win many races. He is survived by his wife, Susie, and son, Danny.
