IMSA Signs With Signature MSAP TV Group

Eager to expose the exciting action of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda, the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has signed a multi-year agreement with Signature Motorsports and Productions (Signature MSAP) to produce broadcast-quality programming for the rising development series.

All shows for the seven-race season can be seen at www.prototypelites.com and internationally on Motors TV. United States broadcast schedules and on-air talent will be announced at a later date.

“Signature Motorsports and Productions approached IMSA and presented a vision to tell the story of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda series," said IMSA Development Series Director Steven Sewell. “From the competitors to the road racing fans, there is a lot of enthusiasm for the series right now. It is gaining momentum. With Signature MSAP, we will now be able to expose this emerging series to more fans."

Plans call for Signature MSAP to produce a preseason report that will serve as an introduction to Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda, which is one of three IMSA development series, followed by shows highlighting action from the seven-race season.

“With fast race cars and colorful drivers, the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda series offers compelling stories and great action," said Signature MSAP President Matt Tarleton. “We are excited to start exposing the secret that race attendees have known for years and bring Prototype Lites racing to a broader base of fans."

Since its inaugural season in 2006, the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda series has provided aspiring professionals with an avenue to hone their skills in preparation for a career in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr¢n and also an opportunity for semi-professional racing drivers to compete in world-class equipment at premier venues.

The 2012 Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda Series kicks off March 14-17 at Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway for the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled By Fresh Florida.
