NJ Motorsports Park announces 2012 Karting schedule

New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) is excited to announce its 2012 F1 New Jersey Competition Karting schedule. This year's program will include a variety of racing options in an attempt to accommodate everyone's kart racing needs. The 2012 calendar is loaded with excitement starting with their own F1 New Jersey Championship ten race Club Series. They will also be hosting four regional race events, two from the Northeast Rotax Max Challenge and two from WKA New Jersey Sprint Series. Another exciting "first" will be their hosting of the F-Series Gear Up Challenge event- an exciting new regional series that builds upon the highly successful F125 class. Last, but certainly not least, the highly-coveted WKA Gold Cup National Series will be held at NJMP September 21st through 23rd.

F1 New Jersey has also announced that they are adding lights for the 2012 season and the feedback has been extremely positive. With that, for this year, they have added two night races to their F1 Championship kart series running on the Liberator track configuration. The first date is July 14 and the second date, September 8th, promises to pack the house with spectators as it will be held during NJMP's AMA Superbike weekend- the Park's most popular spectator event.

The full schedule of F1 New Jersey events can be found at http://www.njmp.com/racing/karting/f1-new-jersey-competition-karting.html, as well as below. F1 New Jersey will also release a downloadable schedule that includes their own F1 Championship kart series, as well as all of the top regional and national karting events to help competition racers plan their 2012 season.

"Included in this year's program are several 'firsts' for F1 New Jersey including two night races, multiple track configurations, and, if you don't own your own kart, be sure to sign-up for the 4-Hour Arrive and Drive Enduro," furthered Volpe adding, "everyone can race go-karts at F1 New Jersey."

The "Arrive and Drive" Enduro races for the general public will be held May 26, July 28, and November 17. Last year these events sold out fast so if you have a team and you would like to register please contact John Maesky, Assistant Manager, F1 New Jersey, at jmaesky@njmp.com. If you need a team, post to the F1 New Jersey Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/F1newjersey.

In addition, this year's membership plan is going to be simplified into two packages, GOLD and SILVER, and both promise to offer significant cost reductions from previous years, while being much easier to understand. Of note, a GOLD level membership will be nearly 30% less than last year, check out the NJMP website for details! Registration forms are available online at http://www.njmp.com/racing/karting/f1-new-jersey-competition-karting.html.

F1 New Jersey will continue to offer trackside amenities such as reserved parking/pit locations and electricity, as well as reduced practice rates and transponder rentals for members.
