Michael Andretti ‘Unanimous’ team wins 1st ‘Celebrity Apprentice task

UPDATE Michael Andretti, former IndyCar driver and current Andretti Autosport team owner, appeared on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice Sunday night. Mr. Andretti's men's team, "Unanimous," led by Paul Teutul, Sr. of Discovery Channel's show, American Chopper, won the task of the night in order to bring home much-needed money for charity.

Donald Trump's reality competition show on NBC, Celebrity Apprentice, pits successful men and women from the worlds of entertainment, sports, business, and elsewhere against each other in an effort to win money for their favorite charities. The show, now in its 5th season, had originally planned to have IndyCar driver Marco Andretti on board to compete for his cause, Racing for Cancer.

When IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon died in October, however, the whole racing community, but especially members of the IndyCar series racing family, were reeling from the shock. Marco Andretti lost more than a fellow competitor, however; he also lost a personal friend, as it happened, right after also losing his maternal grandfather just days before. With taping of Celebrity Apprentice set to begin hours after the crash, Marco's father Michael Andretti stepped up to take his son's place on the show. As reported in Lehigh Valley's Morning Call, the racer turned owner commented, "They still got an Andretti" for the show. IndyCar
