Hamilton Plans To Run Oswego Opener
Indy Car veteran and 11-time Indianapolis 500 starter, Davey Hamilton will compete at Oswego Speedway on opening night in the Novelis Supermodified division. Hamilton, who ran his first supermodified event at Oswego in the 1992 Budweiser International Classic, will be behind the wheel of the Nicotra Racing No. 6 supermodified May 5.
“We’re going to come out and do the opener, which will be the first time I have ever done that," said Hamilton, whose Schmidt/Hamilton Motorsports No. 77 Indy car finished second at the Grand Prix of Long Beach with Simon Pagenaud at the wheel. “The Nicotra team has a couple cars ready and Otto (Sitterly) is prepared to run both of them, so we will be there to run opening night."
