Pescarolo to delay launch of its 2012 LMP1 race car until Le Mans
Sports-car legend Henri Pescarolo has delayed the debut of his new LMP1 contender until the Le Mans 24 Hours.
His team had planned to race its new Pescarolo-Judd 03, which is based around the monocoque and suspension from last year's Aston Martin AMR-One, at the Spa 6 Hours on May 5. The car now will not be ready in time for the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, which means that Pescarolo Team will be forced to hold off its race debut until the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
Pescarolo blamed the late start date for the project for the postponement. He said there would be no chance to test properly before Spa.
