Younessi Racing Debuts Two Car Team in Detroit

Indianapolis-based Younessi Racing is excited to debut their expanded two car team at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle this weekend. Team owner / driver, Florida native Rodin Younessi, will compete in his second Firestone Indy Lights™ event this season after making his series debut at St. Petersburg in March. Younessi will pilot the #16 Younessi Racing car, while Ireland native Peter Dempsey will make his second start in the #15 Younessi Racing machine.

“The team has worked very hard to get both cars ready especially after we were caught up in someone else’s crash at Indianapolis," said Younessi. “We are very excited to continue building this team and to expand to a two car effort. The two car effort will allow our team to share information and ideas for improvement. We expect to welcome several bikers from the Michigan and Ontario areas coming in to support the Harley-Davidson inspired Bar & Shield cars."

“I love street courses and I enjoy the challenge of new tracks so hopefully this will lead us to good results," said Dempsey. “I am very excited heading to Detroit with a strong team of road course veterans behind me. I know we will be there challenging the top teams."
