Tommy Kendall joins NBC Sports Network broadcasts

Tommy Kendall returns to the broadcast booth as an analyst for NBC Sports Network's coverage of the IZOD IndyCar Series races at Texas Motor Speedway on June 9 and at Iowa Speedway on June 23.

Kendall, a former driver in multiple auto racing disciplines, was an analyst on Champ Car broadcasts last decade. He'll join chief announcer Bob Jenkins and Jon Beekhuis as Wally Dallenbach Jr. has prior commitments.

NBC Sports Network's broadcast of the Firestone 550 starts at 8 p.m. (ET) June 9. It also has qualifications at 7:30 p.m. (ET) June 8, followed by the newest edition of the series INDYCAR 36. This episode goes behind the scenes with three-time Indianapolis 500 and three-time Firestone 550 winner Helio Castroneves.
