Bourdais to run Grand-Am race
The open-wheel and sports car ace will join Ryan Dalziel and Enzo Potolicchio, fresh off their LMP2 class victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the team’s No. 8 Riley-Ford, which sits second in the overall Daytona Prototype championship standings and also in the NAEC title race.
"I think it really says how determined we are to try and get a result here at The Glen," team owner Peter Baron said. "We were already working on our plans for the Daytona 24 Hours [next year] and trying to put together optimal lineups.
“We had Bourdais on our radar screen and thought it was [good]. The guy is incredibly fast. He knows these cars a bit and knows the track. For us, he was the best person to put in the car to work on bringing forward our [Rolex] 24 program as well as winning this race here."
