Ryan Hunter-Reay has won the past three IndyCar Series races and has taken the championship lead for the first time in his career. He is the first American to win three consecutive series races since AJ Allmendinger in 2006. And with just five races remaining on the 2012 schedule, he’s hoping to win his first IndyCar championship.

Erica Enders recently became the first female winner in NHRA Pro Stock history when she beat 4-time series champion, Greg Anderson, in Chicago. She is quietly positioning herself to make a run at her first series title as she sits comfortably inside the Countdown to the Championship cut-off.
