Jarett Andretti Earns Oswego Speedway Rookie of Year Honors
"It already has been a great year for me with a lot of new racing experiences," said Andretti. "We started in January racing in the 24 Hours of Daytona and this summer I have lived out of my suitcase going from Indiana to New York racing the fastest short track cars in the world. I've really learned a lot this summer, especially racing with cars with a lot more horsepower. Winning the Rookie of The Year Award at Oswego is just a bonus."

Jarett began seriously racing two years ago and has quickly picked up championships in go-karts and the USAC Eastern Ignite Pavement Series. Last year, Andretti also made his national midget debut in Indianapolis and won his qualifying race in his first start before the feature was rained out. This season the experiences in the supermodified and 410 non-wing sprint cars has him prepared to move up to the next level.
"I think racing a supermodified and a 410 sprint car really gives me the ability and confidence to move to the next level," continued Jarett. "Moving into a super late model, a NASCAR Camping World Truck, Indy Lights car or professional sports car seems to be the next logical next step. I'd love to get that experience and keep moving forward. Right now, we'll concentrate on finishing this race season."
