Italian GP: Hamilton nips Alonso in final practice

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton beat tifosi favorite Fernando Alonso's Ferrari to the top spot by just one thousandth of a second to lead practice 3 in Monza, Italy ahead of qualifying this afternoon.
Paul di Resta was third fastest in the Force India, but will suffer a grid penalty due to a gearbox change even if he does qualify well.
Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari was 4th with the second McLaren of Jenson Button fifth and Nico Rosberg sixth.
Sergio Perez was seventh quickest in the first of the Saubers ahead of Kimi Raikkonen's Lotus followed by Nico Hulkenberg and Pastor Maldonado in the Williams.
