Barrichello to race in stock car event in Brazil
IZOD IndyCar Series driver Rubens Barrichello will participate in a stock car race in Brazil later this year.
The Brazilian, who finished 12th in his first IZOD IndyCar Series season, reached a deal with a team to drive in the final race of the year at Interlagos on Dec. 9.
Barrichello will earn more than $100,000 for competing but will donate the money to the charity he runs with KV Racing Technology teammate and longtime friend Tony Kanaan that supports underprivileged children in Brazil.
