IndyCar tickets go on sale at Pocono

Pocono Raceway officials announced today open-wheel racing will return to “The Tricky Triangle," following a 23-year hiatus, with a 400-mile IZOD IndyCar Series event in 2013. Tickets for the July 7th Pocono IndyCar 400 are now available for purchase.

“The fans wanted to see open-wheel racing return to Pocono Raceway and we’re excited to welcome the IZOD IndyCar Series back next summer," stated Raceway CEO and President, Brandon Igdalsky. “We are now pleased to offer the greatest fans in all of motorsports, the very best in both stock car and open-wheel racing."

Pocono Raceway’s 400-mile event will join the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Triple Crown, with a $1 Million bonus awarded to any driver who wins at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Pocono Raceway and the 2013 IndyCar Series season finale at Auto Club Speedway. A driver that wins two of the three races will be awarded a $250,000 bonus.
