Bernie Ecclestone’s muggers jailed for stealing £2m from tycoons

The robbers who stole from Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone have received jail sentences for accumulating at least £2m from their victims.

The gang, often referred to as the 'Millionaire Muggers', were believed to be behind a robbery, which involved stealing £200,000 worth of jewelry from Ecclestone, who was seriously injured after the heist.

Gulam Gani, 47, was handed 18 years in prison for his involvement, while Nicholas Lewis, 34, will serve 20 years and Shaun Wallace, 30, will have to spend 15 years behind bars.

All three were convicted of conspiracy to rob at Southwark Crown Court but none were prosecuted for the attack on Ecclestone due to a lack of evidence.
