Rolex 24 Hour 19: Rojas In Command, Defending Winners Back On Lead Lap

Rojas now in Ganassi 01

Memo Rojas took over for Scott Pruett and remained in the lead in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, driving the No. 01 TELMEX/Target BMW/Riley.

“Long way to go," said Pruett, who is seeking his fifth victory in the event.

The car to watch may be the No. 60 now driven by Justin Wilson. The defending race-winning No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford/Riley lost seven laps in the early going, but through pit strategy and wave-byes is back on the lead lap.

Jordan Taylor is second in the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette DP, with five cars on the lead lap.

Mark Wilkins is now leading GT in the No. 69 AIM Autosport Team FXDD Ferrari 458. The No. 30 MOMO/NGT Porsche GT3 began the hour leading in GT, but a cut left-front tire and resulting suspension tire put the car behind the wall with Kuba Giermaziak at the wheel.

Dr. Jim Norman is now driving the GX-leading No. 16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman, maintaining a five-lap lead over the Bullet Racing Porsche Cayman of James Clay.
