Win on Sunday, sell on Monday

NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson appeared on CBS’ “Late Show" last night in the wake of his second Daytona 500 victory, and host David Letterman said, “It seems like you’re always here." Johnson said of the new Gen-6 car, “They’ve decided to confuse all of us. Evidently, we’re in the sixth generation car." Letterman asked, “What happened to the Car of Tomorrow?" Johnson said, “No that’s Gen-5." Letterman: “The Car of Tomorrow was yesterday." Johnson: “The cars really look like what are sold on the showroom floors, which is something the fans want and the manufacturers want. … The old adage ‘win on Sunday, sell on Monday’ is back."

Letterman asked, “What was it like with your buddy Danica Patrick there?" Johnson said sarcastically, “She was in the race? I didn’t hear about that"
