Castroneves wants IndyCar calendar changes
In this interview Helio Castroneves talks about changes IndyCar should make to their schedule. While the Boston Consulting group recommended a shorter, compressed schedule, Castroneves recommend stretching it out, saying the off-season is too long. Absolutely. As AR1.com has said many times (some day it will sink in) the IndyCar season should start in late January (the week before the Super Bowl) and be done by Labor Day when the football season begins. That would be an 8-month schedule, with just 4 months for the off-season. TV ratings would increase as would the fan base.
