Another ride-buyer announced as Marussia reserve

Rodolfo Gonzalez has been announced as Marussia's reserve driver for the 2013 season, joining Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton at the team. The Venezuelan finished 22nd in last year's GP2 standings and was team-mate to Giedo van der Garde.

"I am very excited to be joining the Marussia F1 Team at such an exciting time in their development," said Gonzalez. "Working closely with the race drivers and engineers at every stage of the race weekend is a fantastic opportunity for me to learn outside of the car and I hope that I can make a significant contribution to the Team’s progress."

Gonzalez will travel to all 19 races this season in the event that he is required to substitute for either Bianchi or Chilton. The 26-year-old will also take part in selected opening free practice sessions and the Young Driver test later this season.
