Barber: Simona de Silvestro tops practice 3

Make no mistake about it, Simona de Silvestro is the real deal. The fastest female driver in racing worldwide topped the third and final practice session for the Honda Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park Saturday morning in her KV Racing Chevy. Her time of 1m7.4073s was the fastest time turned all weekend so far, and fast enough to edge Simon Pagenaud who was 2nd quick in his Honda.
Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Dario Franchitti rounded out the top-5 as the top-24 drivers were within 1-second of each other – an amazing result for a road course of this nature.
