Teams get additional track time at Texas

With Saturday's race being the first night race of the season, speeds are expected to be much higher than the Gen-6 cars raced at in Las Vegas. Therefore, NASCAR has added additional on-track sessions for Cup teams. Tests are scheduled for 2:00-4:00pm/et and 4:30-6:00pm/et Thursday. There will be no TV coverage of the tests. Fans can watch the sessions for $10, with gates opening at 12:30pm/ct. A Nationwide Series practice session follows the Cup tests.
