Former Ferrari team manager Gozzi dies
Franco Gozzi, who acted as the team manager of Ferrari in the late 1990s, passed away in hospital in the city of Modena on Tuesday. The Italian was 81-years-old.
"We have lost a key figure in the history of Ferrari," explained current President Luca di Montezemolo, who was a long-time friend of Gozzi. "My most abiding memory is of all the hours we spent together, talking about drivers and cars and I am grateful for the fact he was close to me when I was a young Sporting Director at the Scuderia."
For around thirty years, Gozzi worked side by side with founder Enzo Ferrari.
