Grand-Am Fines Two Teams

Grand-Am Road Racing has issued fines to the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford/Riley and No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP teams that compete in the Rolex Sports Car Series, as a result of a post-race incident at the end of the April 20 event at Road Atlanta.

The No. 6 and the No. 10 teams were found in violation of Sections 2.8 (“each member is expected to conduct themselves in a professional and sportsmanlike manner") and 2.9.3 (“entrants are at all times responsible for the conduct of their competitors") of the Grand-Am Rule Book.

No. 6 driver Antonio Pizzonia and No. 10 driver Max Angelelli were involved in the incident at the pit lane entry.

As a result, both teams have been fined $2,500.
