Lancaster to make GP2 return with Hilmer

Jon Lancaster will make a return to the GP2 Series with new outfit Hilmer Motorsport at the Circuit de Catalunya this weekend, taking the place of Pal Varhaug.

The Briton made his most recent GP2 appearance at Sepang last year, while the 2010 Formula Renault 3.5 campaign was his last full term. More recently, the 24-year-old contested Formula MRF in India, finishing fourth in the overall standings.

Lancaster joins Dutchman Robin Frijns at Hilmer for the third round of the campaign, with the latter recently confirming his presence after debuting in Bahrain.
