Fuzzy’s Named “Official Vodka of Pocono Raceway”
"We are excited about the partnership with our new friends at Fuzzy's," said Brandon Igdalsky, Pocono Raceway President and CEO. "I have shared their vodka with friends and family, all of whom, responsibly, enjoyed the crisp and exceptional taste of Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka."
“Additionally, with Fuzzy’s sponsorship of the Triple Crown Award, it makes the return of the INDYCAR race at Pocono even more meaningful for race fans both past and present."
The news of this partnership comes four months after Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka announced they would sponsor the newly-named Fuzzy’s Triple Crown. If one IZOD IndyCar Series driver wins the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Pocono INDYCAR 400 at Pocono Raceway and the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway, Fuzzy’s will a give them a one-million dollar bonus and a one-of-a-kind trophy. If one driver wins two of the three events mentioned, he will earn a bonus of $250,000.
“The Triple Crown is like winning the Masters, the US Open and the PGA Championship in the same year. The return to Pocono is going to be outstanding." stated Fuzzy Zoeller, professional golfer and founder of Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka. “There’s a lot of history at Pocono and there’s going to be some amazing racing. We’re looking forward to partnering with Pocono Raceway and teeing it up in Pennsylvania for one hell of a race."
The original Triple Crown existed previously from 1971 – 1980 with tracks Indianapolis, Pocono and Ontario (Calif.) and from 1981-1989 with tracks Indianapolis, Pocono and Michigan. Only one driver in open-wheel history won the three races included in the original Triple Crown, in a single season. Legendary driver Al Unser, Sr., accomplished this feat in 1978.
Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka is the Official Vodka of INDYCAR. Additionally, Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka sponsors the No. 20 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet, driven by two-time IZOD IndyCar Series winner, Ed Carpenter.
