Indy Pole Day, 3:00 report

The usual suspects are posting the fast speeds on Pole Day. Team Penske owns the provisional front row, EJ and Hinch and Tag are currently the second row.

The only wave-off of the day was for Conor Daly, whose reassembled car started to smoke on the second lap of his attempt. None of his laps were fast enough to qualify on the first day, and perhaps not for the race at all. Next-to-slowest was Buddy Lazier, who completed a run at 223 and small change. Pippa Mann completed a run where her warmup lap was faster than any of the 4 qualification lap — "As I said, the run didn't go as expected…"
