1995 Indy 500 – the way it was

A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, Was digging through old stuff last night. Check out the field for the final, presplit Indy 500. Huge coverage in USA Today Wednesday thru Monday. Note the plethora of sponsors on the cars. Note the 4 engine brands in the field. This was in 1995, the final year before Tony George started the IRL and destroyed the sport.
