2012 NHRA Top Fuel Champion Antron Brown will test his skill at driving in a direction other than a straight line when he slides behind the wheel of a NASCAR stock car for a testing session next Tuesday.

In partnership with Toyota and Rev Racing, Brown announced Thursday at Charlotte Motor Speedway he will test a NASCAR K&N Series Toyota Camry at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va. along with NASCAR Drive for Diversity drivers Bryan Ortiz, Daniel Suarez, Mackena Bell and Ryan Gifford.

"I know I can go straight," said Brown. "Now I gotta see if I can throw a left-hand turn in there. You know, I drive for four seconds at a time right now. So this is a lot different. I know there is a big learning curve. We are just trying to take that step to see if I can do it."

Brown said he has no plans to move over to NASCAR beyond participating in the test, but would love the opportunity to compete in a NASCAR race.

"It will be great to actually race in a race one time," said Brown. "We're going to take it one step at a time and after this weekend here we can grow from it when we go testing in Virginia. We're going to shoot for that first and then we'll take it one step at a time." Pete McCole
