Kanaan on Letterman tonight (Update)

UPDATE Indy 500 champion Tony Kanaan appeared on CBS' "Late Show" last night. Host David Letterman noted people were cheering when Kanaan took the late lead in the race and asked, "Why are you such a popular winner? Is it because you've raced there for 12 years and were so close so many times or is it you're just a popular guy?" Kanaan: "I think people related to that. I mean, it took me 12 years to win that race. You beat me a couple times, actually. So now I have the pleasure to sit here and finally beat you." Letterman: "I like the way you tell that."

At the conclusion of the interview, the Borg-Warner Trophy was brought on-stage, with Kanaan noting the large trophy costs $3.5M to create. Letterman said, "They will put your face on there, Tony, is that right?" Kanaan replied, "Yeah and it's going to be the biggest nose on the trophy. It's going to have an extra handle"

06/03/13 Tony Kanaan will stop by and chat with Dave Letterman (Late Show 11:35 PM Eastern) about TK's winning the Indianapolis 500. The question is whether his hair will still be blonde.
