ALMS event at VIRginia International Raceway given new name
The name and logo are designed to reflect the history and notoriety of the track and to be the driving brand moving forward. The most recognized turn at VIR is the Oak Tree Turn or Turn 11. Oak Tree Turn has remained a part of the long history since the track was originally constructed in 1957. The infamous Oak Tree is a permanent part of VIR.
The weekend will be highlighted by the Oak Tree Grand Prix and the return of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. The series features some of the most advanced technological cars racing in sports today. The series has something for everyone from the high priced, purpose built race cars of the P1 prototype class to the GTC production based class that is a slightly modified lower cost alternative to the GT class.
The event schedule is below so make sure to join us for the Oak Tree Grand Prix or one of these other great events. Get your tickets at VIRnow.com or 434.822.7700.
