Superior Mercedes sweep British GP pole

Using his superior Mercedes car that has dominated F1 qualifying all year, Lewis Hamilton stormed to pole position for the British GP, his first at Silverstone since 2007.

Hamilton won the battle with his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.

Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are in the second row just 0.009s apart.

Paul di Resta added to the home crowd's excitement with fifth on the grid for Force India.
