Guests and spectators at the American Le Mans North East Grand Prix witnessed a sample of the all-wheel, 570hp Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series in action with two successful practice sessions completed. Appearing for the first time on US soil, the focus now turns to the weekend action as the inaugural North American Super Trofeo race gets under way.
Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series Coordinator, Tristan Herbert said, "Not only did the cars look great and they ran smoothly in both sessions. The anticipation and excitement of the series is building with the drivers and teams but also with the fans and spectators here at Lime Rock. NASCAR Super Sprint Rookie of the Year and Lamborghini Change Racing driver and owner, Kevin Conway said, "The cars and drivers performed exceptionally in terms of speed and consistency. Lime Rock is a challenging circuit but our practice times were quicker than expected. I'm confident this will translate to delivering the anticipated qualifying and race times tomorrow."
Lamborghini Factory Driver Richard Antinucci added, "The car felt great. Lamborghini has done an incredible job with the new 2013 Super Trofeo. Its predecessor was incredible and to improve this car by such an extent is truly remarkable. This is a great platform for the entire series and all future Lamborghini racing."
