German GP: Vettel tops final practice
Vettel stares down his competition |
With the revised Pirelli tires, the pecking order appears to have changed a bit with Mercedes losing their distinct advantage they gained from the cheater secret tire test on the old tires.
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel topped the final F1 practice at the Nurburgring with a stunning late lap of 1m29.517s, some 6/10ths up on Nico Rosberg's Mercedes.
Vettel's teammate Mark Webber third, followed by the Ferraris of Fernando Alonso fourth and Felipe Massa in fifth spot.
Kimi Raikkonen ended the session in sixth, ahead of Lewis Hamilton 1.227s back in seventh, Romain Grosjean eighth and Nico Hulkenberg in ninth position.
Adrian Sutil rounded out the top-10 for Force India.
