Busch moonlights in Milwaukee
Busch's latest moonlight racing win really didn't surprise anyone at the track. He completely dominated the top of the speed charts during all of the practice sessions and easily set the fast time in qualifying. The only problem Kyle Busch had at the Milwaukee Mile was the pre race invert ceremony which moved him from the pole position to 14th. It took him all the way to lap 11 to take the lead for good. Because this race track doesn't have permanent lighting, the event had to be called, on lap 115, due to impending darkness.
Travis Sauter, the defending race champion, and his Uncle Johnny Sauter, from NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series, finished second and third. The racing Sauters did everything they could to run down Busch but just ran out of daylight. Jacob Goode and Chris Wimmer completed the top five.
In victory lane, Busch thanked sponsors Monster Energy Drink and the local area Budweiser Distributor who helped make the trip to Wisconsin possible. The race winner also thanked his guys from Kyle Busch Motorsports for rebuilding a wrecked super late model car that had been lying around their shop for approximately two years. Obviously, they did a very good job. Dave Grayson reporting
