In ceremonies earlier today at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Miami-Dade County officials co-designated the roadway that runs in front of the track as “Ralph Sanchez Speedway Boulevard."
A nearly six mile stretch of SW 137 Avenue/Speedway Boulevard from Palm Drive to U.S. 1 in Homestead has been co-designated “Ralph Sanchez Speedway Boulevard," in recognition of Sanchez, the founder of the track, who passed away April 1st of this year.
A map outlining the portion of the road affected is shown.
