Franchitti tops Group 1 qualifying for Race 2

Polesitter for today's IndyCar race in Toronto, Dario Franchitti, turned the fastest lap in group 1 of qualifying for Race #2 to be run Sunday. His lap of 59.1905sec was a record for the current IndyCar sled. However, Gil de Ferran still owns the track record in the 57 second range in a CART IndyCar. So today's cars are slower than 20-year old IndyCars.

Ryan Hunter-Reay was second and led a 5 car Chevy brigade behind Franchitti's Honda.
