New Version of Auto Racing Performance App Released
By supporting metric units, the app will appeal to a wider range of engineers, drivers and teams in motorsports across the world.
“This new feature will please our customers who are based in regions that use the metric system," said Veracity Racing Data Owner David Ferguson, who developed the app. “The analysis is created instantly, so racers can see the ideal shift RPM, as well as the speed ranges for each gear. It’s such a useful app, and every racer will want to benefit from it."
Shift RPM comes pre-loaded with data for more than 20 different streetcars, racecars, motorcycles and even a shifter kart. Users can edit this information, or add details for their own vehicles and specific engine capabilities. Results are available instantly on the screen and a comprehensive report is created that can be printed or emailed as a PDF. The app is available for iPhone and iPad and creates easy-to-read graphs so all racers can easily use it.
“I created Shift RPM to help racers who change gear ratios and engines, but it’s also useful for anyone who wants to maximize the performance of a vehicle by shifting optimum RPM," Ferguson said. “I use Shift RPM to record the ideal gear ratios for each track I visit, and I refer to it during race preparation before every event."
Based on California’s Central Coast, Veracity Racing Data is a company that helps racers drive faster by offering data acquisition, video recorders, custom wiring and racing software. Ferguson developed this app with one goal in mind: To allow every racer to optimize the acceleration performance of their vehicle. Users can download the app on iTunes.
