Baltimore GP to admit students for $5
Students who take advantage of this special admission policy will enjoy general admission access to IZOD IndyCar Series practice sessions, qualifying for the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr¢n, multiple musical performances on the main stage and activities in the Esskay Family Fun Zone; those 21 and older also can attend the Budweiser Party Zone, where 98 Rock (WIYY-FM) will be broadcasting live throughout the day, beginning at 6 a.m. with “Bud and Bacon."
“This is the ideal day way for students to enjoy the final days of summer, before school kicks into high gear," said Grand Prix of Baltimore General Manager Tim Mayer. “Whether you’re an elementary school student or doing post-graduate work, this is a great opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of the Celebration of Acceleration for just $5."
Activities in the Esskay Family Fun Zone range from high-performance Autobahn go-karting to Pinewood Derby races to Radio Disney performances, bounce houses, and an obstacle course designed by Port Discovery Children’s Museum. Music on the Grand Prix’s main stage will consist of the Doyle Brothers – a New York-based band combining the timeless classics of the Everly Brothers with the modern swagger of Michael Bublé and Bruno Mars – and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band The Waiting.
The $5 ticket special is not available online, as active students must present a valid student ID at a Grand Prix of Baltimore ticket booth on Friday, Aug. 30 in order to receive the discounted admission. Complete ticket and event information is available at www.GrandPrixofBaltimore.com.
About the Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT
The third annual Grand Prix of Baltimore presented by SRT is one of only two events in the United States to feature the IZOD IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) presented by Tequila Patron in the same weekend. The Budweiser Party Zone offers a range of great food offerings, live radio broadcasts with 98 Rock (WIYY-FM) and more great music for event-goers 21 and older.
