08/06/13 ESPN’s live telecast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, Aug. 4, earned a 3.2 U.S. household rating, averaging 5,062,612 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company.
The rating rose 10 percent from the 2012 race, which earned a 2.9 U.S. rating and averaged 4,448,849 viewers.
ESPN’s live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway on Saturday night, Aug. 3, earned a 1.0 U.S. household rating, averaging 1,508,846 viewers. Last year’s race earned a 0.7 U.S. rating and averaged 1,079,432 viewers.
