NASCAR Michigan and Mid-Ohio TV Ratings (2nd Update)
08/20/13 ESPN’s live telecast of the Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, Aug. 18, earned a 3.0 U.S. household rating, averaging 4,584,741 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company.
The rating and viewership were down from last year’s race, which earned a 3.2 U.S. rating and averaged 5,199,791 viewers.
ESPN’s live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, Aug. 17, earned a 0.9 U.S. rating, averaging 1,287,466 viewers. The race was an inaugural event.
08/19/13 ESPN earned a 3.0 for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race from Michigan Int'l Speedway yesterday afternoon, down slightly from a 3.2 overnight for the same race last year. The network also earned a 1.0 overnight for the first-ever NASCAR Nationwide Series race from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, down from a 1.3 overnight for the race from Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last year.
