A Few Quick Notes From Charm City
Izod IndyCar Series qualifying at The Grand Prix of Baltimore Presented by SRT is minutes away from starting. Of the two qualifying groups, Group 1 looks to be the more formidable with Ryan Hunter-Reay, Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, Will Power, James Hinchcliffe and Graham Rahal, who has been fast this weekend amongst others.
Below, are a few other quick notes.
–Pretty nice day here in Baltimore.
–Jack Hawksworth won the pole for the Indy Lights race
–James Jakes has gone to a sixth engine and will take a ten grid spot penalty after qualifying.
–Look for Luca Fillipi to have a strong session. He is in the easier of the two groups, has been fast all weekend, and we hear he thinks the red Firestone tires suit him well.
–The chicane and bumps surrounding it, which have seen a few drivers get airbone is the biggest topic of discussion around here.
–We'll have more after qualifying.
