Are EV’s Closing the Generation Gap?

Jeff U'Ren was what you would call an "early adopter" as one of the original EV-1 owners in the 90's. He now owns two Volts and when it comes to the question of whether or not EVs are the transportation of the future, his son John believes that everyone his generation is open to the idea of an EV and that it is actually the transportation of the PRESENT.

Americans young and old are embracing EVs and those who own them are surprised by their economy and convenience.

Certainly being able to charge your vehicle at home is quicker and much more convenient than stopping at gas stations every couple hundred miles along the way. In fact, according to new EV owners, you don't realize how much you enjoy not going to a gas station until you stop going to a gas station.

Chevrolet says the new Spark EV can go from 0-60 in less than 8 seconds and will save owners $9,000 in gas over 5 years.
