Frijns parts ways with management

The talented Robin Frijns

Robin Frijns has split with management group WHS International. The firm, headed up by Werner Heinz, had been in control of the sporting side of the Dutchman's career.

"After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that it will be the best for me and my career to make some management changes," explained the former Sauber reserve, who has made sporadic GP2 appearances throughout the 2013 campaign.

He added: "Unfortunately, my career is somehow stuck now and I hope that these changes will help me to do some important steps forward. I have not yet decided who will look after the sporting side of my career from now on, but I will do this very soon."

Frijns, who beat Marussia driver Jules Bianchi to last year's Formula Renault 3.5 title, joined forces with Just Sports Marketing last month in a bid to find more sponsors.
