Larson Making Sprint Cup Debut At Charlotte

Kyle Larson will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 12 during the Bank of America 500.

Larson will drive the No. 51 Chevrolet out of the Phoenix Racing stable at Charlotte. He is also scheduled to compete in the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Oct. 27 in the No. 51 for Phoenix.

Larson was recently named the full-time driver of Earnhardt Ganassi Racing’s No. 42 Target Chevrolet in 2014, replacing departing driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

The California native is currently in his first full season of NASCAR Nationwide Series competition, where he has scored a best finish of second on three different occasions. He also scored his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory in April at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway and is the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion.
