UPDATE2: Franchitti accident update – fans injured

According to Houston ABC TV affiliate KTRK, Dario Franchitti was transported to Memorial Hermann hospital, and is in fair condition. In addition, 3 spectators were also transported to Memorial Hermann hospital, while 10 more were treated at the scene. The IndyStar reports that Kim Tyger, an IndyCar timing and scoring official, suffered "minor injuries" and also went to hospital for treatment.
