Rossi to drive F1 car at Silverstone

Caterham reserve driver Alexander Rossi will showcase one of the team's Formula 1 cars at Silverstone this weekend, as part of the Caterham Motorsport season finale.

The American, who took part in the Young Driver Test at the circuit earlier this season, is scheduled to drive at lunch time on both Saturday and Sunday, breaking up a free-of-charge 19-race schedule comprising of various Caterham machinery.

"It’s exciting, 'seat of the pants' stuff," said Caterham Chief Motorsport Officer Simon Lambert. "I hope people who come to this race meeting get a taste of our passion for the sport. The event will also be a rare opportunity to see an F1 car in action for free."

More information about the event is available via the official Silverstone website.
