Pietro Fittipaldi confirms BRDC F4 Winter Series entry
Fittipaldi, grandson of F1 legend Emerson, impressed on his debut year in single seaters, and took a maiden victory on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in July, 41 years after his grandfather claimed success in the British Grand Prix at the same venue.
The Brazilian missed two rounds of the main series owing to other commitments, but still finished 15th in the overall standings, securing regular top-10 finishes.
"I am sure the F4 winter series will be very competitive and a good learning experience for me, especially in the rainy and cold winter conditions which we are bound to see! I’m looking forward to seeing a strong grid!" Fittipaldi commented.
Team principal Mark Godwin is optimistic that Fittipaldi will further impress in the Winter Series, commenting; "Pietro showed strong pace as the F4 season went on, and we go into the Winter Series with high hopes. We think he can challenge for race wins and an assault at claiming the title."
The BRDC F4 Winter Series commences on 9-10 November on the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk.
