Epps is ready to hit top gear after clinching a new deal

Michael Epps will be back for another shot at the Cooper Tires USF2000 National Championship title after signing to compete in the 2014 season with Belardi Auto Racing.
Despite experiencing what was, at times, a rocky debut campaign in the USA, Epps put in a strong showing during the final rounds supporting the IndyCar GP of Houston in Texas to finish the season with a flourish.
He came agonizingly close to grabbing a podium place and consistently set top-five times, and he is being touted as one of the potential title challengers for next year.
“I’m excited to get going now. This has all come about pretty quickly but it became clear that it’s the place to be for me and the deal was done," said Epps.
“I can’t wait to get testing to put together a championship-winning package for next season."
Epps will also compete in the Cooper Tires Winterfest, a six-round series that precedes the full championship.
Taking place in February, it serves as a warm-up for drivers in the series and will be contested at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans and Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, USA.
The entire 14-race, seven-event National Championship will support the IZOD IndyCar Series next year, giving the drivers and sponsors even more exposure and marketing potential than before.
“Once again, a big thanks to everyone that helped and supported me during the 2013 season," added Epps.
“I’m glad to be in a place at Belardi where I already feel comfortable going into next year, I’m also much more confident now I actually know a few of the tracks!"
The next official test for Epps takes place in early December at Barber Motorsports Park. He ventures into next season with the continued support of P1 Sports Management.
