Ticket distribution for USGP has turned into a fiasco for COTA
But you would be wrong.
Inconvenience has morphed into a fiasco down in Austin as ticketless F1 fans are getting more and more irate with the race host, the Circuit of the Americas.
It's easy to understand their frustration. Many fans bought tickets months ago and are traveling long distances to get to Texas. The thought of getting on a plane and flying across the country without the ticket (that you already paid top dollar for) to the event you are going to see would be nerve-wracking for anyone.
Fans have bombarded the track's social media sites to vent not only about the lack of tickets, but about how the tickets they've seen in pictures seem to look more like movie ticket stubs rather than the pristine, commemorative, display-proudly-on-your-lanyard tickets.
COTA personnel have been working overtime to answer all queries and make sure people will get their tickets, but the fans are still pretty mad. AutoWeek
